Zamir Kabulov, Russia’s Special Envoy for Afghanistan, has stated that the Afghan caretaker government has appointed a new ambassador to Moscow.
Kabulov made the remarks on the sidelines of the Kazan Forum, adding that Russia is currently reviewing and assessing the credentials of the newly nominated ambassador.
Relations between Russia and the Afghan caretaker government have significantly improved following Moscow’s decision to remove the Islamic Emirate from its list of banned groups and organizations. It is expected that these ties will continue to expand.
