According to a report by Russia’s TASS news agency, the Russian Security Council has stated that representatives of Afghanistan’s caretaker government are attending a high-level international security meeting in Moscow for the first time, upon invitation by Moscow.
The source mentioned that the Russian Security Council emphasized that new security threats and challenges are global and transcendent, and no country can confront these threats alone or bilaterally.
The report states that the meeting will take place in Moscow from May 27th to 29th, and on the sidelines of the meeting, there will be multilateral informal talks between representatives of Southeast Asian countries, BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and countries with common interests.
It is also worth noting that recently, Russia removed the caretaker government’s name from the list of banned groups.
