The Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) in a press release announced that 20 children, who were sent to Germany for treatment following severe burns and bone infections, have returned to Afghanistan on Friday today. After receiving medical care and recovering, they have been reunited with their families.

According to the press release, under an agreement with the German Peace Village charity foundation, ARCS sends children aged between one and eleven—who suffer from severe burns or bone infections—to Germany for treatment twice a year. Once their treatment is completed, the children are returned to Afghanistan.
