    Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan to Strengthen Transport and Transit Cooperation

    The Acting Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Mullah Hamidullah Akhundzada, met with Kyrgyzstan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, Turdakun Sydykov, in Kabul to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in the fields of transport and transit.

    According to a statement from the ministry, the two sides also discussed increasing the volume of commercial goods exchanged between the two countries, along with a range of other related issues.

    Mullah Akhundzada affirmed the interim government’s full readiness to strengthen transport and transit ties with Kyrgyzstan by making full use of Afghanistan’s transport infrastructure.

    Ambassador Sydykov, for his part, stressed the vital importance of transport connectivity between Bishkek and Kabul, reaffirming Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to enhancing and expanding this partnership.
