The Associated Press news agency has reported that several Gulf Arab countries are urging U.S. President Donald Trump to continue the war against Iran.
According to the report, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates have told Trump that Iran still possesses the capability to carry out airstrikes and that more pressure should be applied on it.
The source adds that officials from Bahrain and Kuwait have taken a similar stance, stating that the war should not end until fundamental changes occur in Iran’s leadership and policies.
The report further states that the United Arab Emirates has taken the hardest position, even calling on Trump to initiate a ground offensive against Iran.
So far, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain have not responded to the Associated Press report.
This comes as the White House spokesperson recently suggested that Trump may seek to recover the costs of the ongoing war from Arab countries.
