According to ABC News, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced on Monday that his country will recognize the State of Palestine.
He stated that the decision will be formally declared at the United Nations General Assembly in September.
The United Kingdom, France, Canada, and several other countries have also decided to recognize the State of Palestine, with formal announcements expected during the same UN session.
