    Celebration of Mujahideen’s Victory Day in Nijrab District of Kapisa Province to Mark the Defeat of the Communist Regime

    With the efforts of the Youth Affairs Department of the Directorate of Information and Culture, a commemorative ceremony was held in the Nijrab District of Kapisa Province to mark the 8th of Thawr, 1404 A.H, which coincides with the 33rd anniversary of the Mujahideen’s victory over the former communist regime in Afghanistan.

    According to information received from the Directorate of Information and Culture in Kapisa, the ceremony was attended by government officials, tribal leaders, religious scholars, representatives of civil society organizations, youth, and numerous other participants.

    During the speeches delivered at the ceremony, speakers commemorated the 8th of Thawr as a day symbolizing Afghanistan’s freedom, integrity, independence and the liberation of its nation. They paid homage to the tireless struggles and sacrifices of the Mujahideen(Holy Fighters).

    Moreover, it was highlighted that the heroism of the Afghan Mujahideen against the Soviet Union demonstrated to the world that Afghan Nation will never yield to oppression or aggression.

    The participants urged the younger generation to draw inspiration from the sacrifices of the Mujahideen and stay united in their efforts towards the reconstruction, development, and prosperity of the country.
