The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) stated that U.S. forces have shot down two Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles.
CENTCOM claimed that the drones posed a threat to international maritime traffic in the Strait of Hormuz area.
The command further stated that it will continue to carry out defensive measures in response to any acts of aggression.
Iranian military authorities have not yet issued any response to the claim.
