Iran’s Tasnim News Agency quoted an unnamed Iranian official as saying that Tehran had made no new proposal to Washington through Pakistan, dismissing media reports of such an offer as false.
The official said reopening the Strait of Hormuz remained conditional on the implementation of seven demands that Iran had previously presented to the United States.
Iran had earlier said it had closed the Strait of Hormuz again on July 12 following the resumption of US attacks.
