According to a report by the South China Morning Post, the Chinese government has successfully tested a highly destructive hydrogen bomb that contains no nuclear material but can generate intense fire through powerful chemical reactions, causing large-scale devastation.

The report, quoting Chinese researchers, states that the two-kilogram bomb produced fire exceeding 1,000 degrees Celsius within two seconds during its initial test—a duration 15 times longer than that of a comparable TNT explosion.

The device incorporates a special substance called magnesium hydride, which appears as a white powder and can store large quantities of hydrogen in solid form.

The head of the research team responsible for developing the bomb stated, “The explosion begins with hydrogen gas, spreads across a wide area, and generates flames that rapidly expand. This composition enables precise control of the explosion’s intensity and allows targets over broad areas to be uniformly and effectively destroyed.”
