According to Chinese media reports, the Chinese government has imposed sanctions on 20 American military companies and 10 senior officials.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry said the measures were taken in response to U.S. arms sales to Taiwan.

China reiterated that Taiwan is an inseparable part of the country and called on other countries to refrain from any military transactions with Taiwan.

The sanctions come after Washington recently approved $11 billion worth of arms transfers to Taiwan.
