Al Jazeera has reported that a clash occurred between Thai and Cambodian border forces, resulting in the deaths of two civilians on the Thai side and injuries to two soldiers on the Cambodian side.
According to sources citing the Thai military, the clash was initiated by Cambodian forces, who also used heavy weaponry.
On the other hand, The Guardian reported on the ongoing tensions between the two countries, stating that Thailand has deployed F-16 fighter jets along its border.
The newspaper also noted that Thailand has recalled its ambassador from Cambodia and announced that the Cambodian ambassador will be expelled as well.
