    Coal Mine Explosion in India’s Meghalaya State Kills 18

    Indian media reported that at least 18 people were killed and several others remain missing following an explosion at a coal mine in India’s northeastern state of Meghalaya.

    The incident occurred on Thursday in the Jaintia Hills district.

    Officials said rescue teams, police, and local authorities have been deployed to the site, and operations remain ongoing to rescue those trapped and locate the missing.
