The Panjshir Provincial Office has announced that, following special instructions from Governor Hafiz Mohammad Agha Hakim, an urgent aid committee has been established to assist those affected by the snow avalanche in the districts of Hesa Awal, Dara, and Paryan, which took place last week.

According to Mahibullah Jahed, head of the Panjshir Provincial Disaster Management Directorate, one body has been recovered from Hesa Awal district so far, with ongoing efforts to locate additional victims.

The Department has already provided cash assistance to affected families in the Dara and Paryan districts, and similar aid will be distributed to families in Hesa Awal district in the coming days.
