Mohammad Mohaqiq, in a message on the occasion of Eid, greetings for the people of Afghanistan (both inside the country and abroad) has expressed concern about their current situation.
In this message, he criticized the strict reactions of host countries towards Afghan migrants and stated that he suffers from this situation.
But the reality is that such statements are not born out of compassion, but rather an exploitation of the migrants’ situation for their own personal gain. Figures who have fled the country and have no standing among the people are the same ones who ruled over the people for twenty years by relying on foreign powers. Now, these individuals are trying to exploit the painful situation of the migrants, pretending to be sympathetic and sharing in the people’s sorrow, while their political backgrounds reveal a different reality.
If we take a look at the political history and governance period of these individuals, it becomes clear that one of the main causes of homelessness, displacement, and the poor condition of Afghan refugees in neighboring countries has been the internal wars, ethnic conflicts, oppression, discrimination, and injustices that these very figures are responsible for.
Afghanistan, after the defeat of the Red Army and the fall of Najib’s Democratic regime, burned in the fire of civil wars for nearly a decade. It was these wars that escalated poverty and unemployment, forcing people to leave their homeland and emigrate.
Therefore, the root of all the hardships that Afghan migrants face outside the country today can be traced back to the actions of those who fled after the fall of the republic system and now shed crocodile tears and adopt a pose of sympathy.
In the current situation, the only authority and structure that is truly seeking to heal the wounds of the migrants and address the problems of the returnees is the leadership of the caretaker government. Not those who build political ladders for themselves from the suffering of the people.
The caetaker government, in order to prevent the continuation of misery, instability, and war, has opened the door of reconciliation to all Afghans and invites them to return to their homeland and refrain from serving foreign interests. But those who have sold themselves to foreign powers for national and religious interests are still seeking to continue the crisis and insecurity in Afghanistan.
Those who caused millions of Afghans to migrate to neighboring countries not only do not believe in the peace of this nation but also, with false gestures of sympathy, try to hide their servitude to foreigners.
