Da Afghanistan Bank stated that during the meeting of its High Council, discussions were held on monetary policies, the banking sector, and financial stability.
The bank’s governor, Noor Ahmad Agha, said that over the past year, the Afghani maintained its stability and appreciated by 10.77 percent against the US dollar.
According to the bank’s press release, he added that bank assets also increased by 4.69 percent compared to the previous year, indicating the strengthening of the banking sector and growing public confidence.
It is worth noting that the High Council of Da Afghanistan Bank meets four times a year, during which key decisions are made to ensure the country’s monetary and financial stability.
