Arab media reported that a drone strike targeted a funeral ceremony in the city of Al-Fulah in Sudan’s Kordofan state, killing 40 people.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack. However, pro-Emirate militias have previously been linked to similar attacks.
Since 2023, Sudan has been engulfed in a conflict between pro-Emirate militias, known as the Rapid Support Forces, and Sudan’s government forces.
The war has killed tens of thousands of people, displaced millions, and left nearly half of Sudan’s population facing famine.
