According to the Associated Press, powerful storms and tornadoes have swept through southeastern and central U.S. states, killing at least 34 people and causing significant financial losses.

Heavy rainfall and flooding have impacted Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. Missouri has reported the highest number of fatalities, with 12 deaths, followed by Mississippi with six, while the remaining casualties were recorded in the other affected states.

The storm has also sparked wildfires in Texas and Oklahoma, destroying approximately 300 homes.

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced emergency aid for the affected areas, describing the storm as one of the most severe and dangerous in recent years.
