    Deputy Prime Minister’s Office for Economic Affairs: Ministry of Water and Energy Completed Major Water and Energy Projects in the Past Year

    Deputy Prime Minister’s Office for Economic Affairs announced in a press release that the Ministry of Water and Energy successfully completed several key national projects in water management and electricity generation during the solar hijri year 1403. It added that work on several other projects is advancing rapidly.

    According to the statement, the Shah wa Aros Dam in Kabul, the Omari Dam in Zabul, the third phase of the Kamal Khan Dam in Nimroz, and the Sarkhab Reservoir Dam in Logar have been completed and handed over for use.

    The press release further noted that construction is still underway on the Bakhshabad Dam in Farah and the Pashtan Dam in Herat.

    It concluded by stating that construction work on 130 large and small check dams across various provinces has also been completed.
