According to sources, the Ministry of Public Health will manage the construction of these hospitals, with the Afghan government providing full funding for the estimated cost of 1.5 billion Afghanis.

The projects are set to be carried out in the provinces of Zabul, Baghlan, Nuristan, Jowzjan, Kandahar, Sar-e Pol, Faryab, Samangan, Ghor, Maidan Wardak, Kunar, Kunduz, Helmand, Farah, Parwan, Khost, Takhar, Kapisa, Kabul, and Badakhshan.

The Deputy Prime Minister’s Office for Economic Affairs stated that, once completed, these projects will ensure residents in remote districts have access to quality, standardized healthcare services.
