Zakir Jalali, the Foreign Ministry’s Second Director of Political Affairs, says Turkey holds an important position in Afghanistan’s foreign policy and described the recent visit by the Turkish intelligence chief to Kabul as significant.
In a post on X, Jalali said Turkish intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin’s recent visit to Kabul and Kandahar, along with his meetings with senior Afghan officials, demonstrates the strengthening of bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Turkey.
He also said Turkey plays an important role in promoting stability in Afghanistan and the region.
