Former U.S. Special Envoy for Afghanistan, Zalmay Khalilzad, reacting to the invitation of Afghan government opponents to a meeting led by Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), wrote that he has nothing to say about any gathering led by the ISI.
Khalilzad also said, considering the past actions, corruption, and poor reputations of these Afghan opposition figures, that those invited to Pakistan are not even worth discussing.
It’s worth noting that this Afghan-American diplomat had previously also strongly condemned the meeting and called it an attempt to disrupt the current stability in Afghanistan.
