The Hamas Islamic Movement has announced its agreement to release ten Zionist prisoners as part of the ongoing ceasefire negotiations in Gaza.
In an official statement, the movement stated that its leadership is undertaking serious and responsible efforts to secure a comprehensive agreement aimed at ending the war, removing obstacles to humanitarian aid, and halting the continued aggression against the people of Gaza.
Hamas emphasized that although the talks have seen some progress, several critical issues remain unresolved, in particular, the withdrawal of occupying forces, the uninterrupted delivery of aid, and concrete guarantees for a genuine and lasting ceasefire.
The statement further emphasized that, despite the challenges posed by the intransigence of the occupying regime, Hamas remains committed to continuing negotiations through mediating countries, maintaining a constructive approach to achieve the legitimate demands of the people of Gaza, freedom, security, and a dignified life.
