Local sources told Voice of Hindukush that heavy rainfall triggered floods in Nangarhar’s Lal Pora district on Tuesday morning, September 2.

The floods destroyed dozens of houses and caused significant financial damage to residents, though no casualties have been reported.

This comes just two days after an earthquake struck several other districts of the province, leaving hundreds dead and injured.
