The Ministry of Public Health stated in a press release that its minister, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, met with India’s Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Jagat Prakash Nadda, during his visit to India.
According to the statement, the meeting focused on strengthening health relations, exchanging experiences between healthcare professionals, building the capacity of Afghan health workers, facilitating medical treatment and visas for Afghan patients in India, providing medical equipment to Afghan health centers, and other related issues.
Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali expressed gratitude for India’s recent cooperation in the health sector and discussed several topics aimed at improving Afghanistan’s healthcare system with his Indian counterpart.
India’s Health Minister said his country is ready to cooperate with the Afghan people in areas such as medicine, vaccines, and other essential needs. He added that in the near future, a CT scan machine, medicines, and vaccines will be sent to the Indira Gandhi Children’s Hospital in Kabul.
He further stated that more facilities will be created for Afghan patients and that India is ready for all types of cooperation.
