The Interim Government of Afghanistan has issued a formal condemnation of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent remarks, in which he rejected the establishment of an independent Palestinian state and suggested that Palestinians should form their state within Saudi Arabia’s territory. The Afghan government described these statements as a blatant violation of Saudi Arabia’s sovereignty.

In its statement, the Interim Government of Afghanistan labeled Netanyahu’s comments as an insult to international norms and a clear violation of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

The interim government further emphasized that Palestine is the rightful homeland of the Palestinian people and stressed that as long as the occupation continues and Palestinian rights are violated, Gaza and the region will remain unstable—an outcome that benefits no one.
