According to reports, General Ikramuddin Saree, a prominent commander of the Resistance Front, was killed last night in Tehran, Iran, by unknown gunmen. Saree also persided over the leadership of a council in Iran called “Great Northern,” thru which he recruited former officers to the Resistance Front.

The Resistance Front, which has been plagued by internal conflicts for the past four years, lost figures like Ikramuddin Saree, among others. Disputes over money and personal interests within the Resistance Front have eliminated a prominent figure from the group each time and widened the rifts.

The Resistance Front is not only engaged in fierce competition with the Freedom Front, but it has also fallen victim to internal disagreements, which have caused a split within the front, hampered its activities, and isolated it like other groups.

After settling in Iran, Ikramuddin Saree was also involved in personal disputes and illegal activities with a number of former military personnel, which had previously led to his arrest by Iranian security forces.

Some former officials and members of the Resistance Front condemned his killing, but they did not reveal the reality of internal divisions that led to the death of a key member of the group.
