Afghanistan’s economy is expanding for the second year in a row, according to the World Bank’s most recent report, “Afghanistan Development Update,”. According to the World Bank, Afghanistan’s gross domestic product is expected to grow by 3.4 percent in 2025, an increase from the 2.5 percent growth in 2024.

According to the source, the main reason for this economic growth is the demand created by the more than two million refugees who have returned from Iran and Pakistan, which has led to the activation of the service and industrial sectors. Similarly, an unprecedented wheat harvest was achieved in the agricultural sector, and the mining and construction sectors also contributed to economic growth.

The economic growth of Afghanistan has once again worried and alarmed some opponents who are trying to downplay and discredit this achievement. As always, they are attempting to cast a negative light on such significant accomplishments and progress in Afghanistan by spreading false and misleading information. They want to divert people’s minds and make it seem as tho this progress is not important or valuable. By spreading such false and far-fetched rumors, they are trying to create a false impression of themselves and divert the attention of the people and the world elsewhere.

Afghanistan’s economic growth and progress in many other areas are not something that can be overshadowed by the negative views and propaganda of a few individuals and specific addresses. People and the public inside Afghanistan see everything with their own eyes. For the first time in Afghanistan, major infrastructure projects are being funded from the country’s internal revenues and budget without foreign support. Projects such as the Kabul-Kandahar road and highway, the construction and expansion of the Salang, the commencement of major projects like the Qosh Tepa Canal, the extension of railroads, TAPI, CASA-1000, the commencement and completion of major projects in the electricity and energy sector, and hundreds and thousands of other cases are things that cannot be overlooked either domestically or abroad.

Additionally, in the current situation, Afghanistan is facing the largest and most unprecedented wave of its citizens returning to the country from foreign countries, with nearly three million people having returned and the process still ongoing. Despite such a crisis, everything appears to be managed and under control, and all negative predictions made in this regard have proven incorrect. In many other areas such as political, diplomatic, social, cultural, and even military, the significant achievements and successes cannot be overlooked by anyone, and all these developments and accomplishments are a harbinger of a bright future.

People who love Afghanistan and its progress are happy about all these successes and achievements and hope for more, but opponents groups, circles, and individuals based abroad are envious, so they resort to negative propaganda and try to undermine them.
