Reuters reported that US and Iranian officials held separate talks with mediators as part of renewed efforts to end the seven-month war.
According to the report, the next round of talks is expected to focus on a revised seven-day ceasefire proposal put forward by Iran. The proposal includes ending the fighting in Iran and Lebanon, releasing Iran’s frozen assets and lifting sanctions on Iranian oil.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said Tehran is awaiting Washington’s response to the new ceasefire proposals. US President Donald Trump also confirmed that American officials had held talks with mediators.
