US President Donald Trump has announced a two-week extension of the ceasefire with Iran.
He said the truce will remain in effect until Tehran presents its proposals and the current negotiations reach a conclusion. According to Trump, the decision was influenced by regional developments and requests from mediators, aimed at giving Iranian representatives time to agree on a unified proposal.
However, sources close to the Iranian military stated that they did not request an extension of the 14-day ceasefire with the United States.
Iran has also not yet decided whether to take part in the negotiations being hosted by Pakistan.
