Iran’s Fars News Agency, citing the country’s security sources, reported that Iranian special forces struck and brought down a U.S. C-130 military transport aircraft on Sunday morning.
The report states that Iranian forces fired heavily on the aircraft over southern Isfahan, striking it and bringing it down.
Iranian media, releasing photographs, reported that the aircraft was carrying out a mission to refuel U.S. warplanes over Iranian territory.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Department of War has not issued any official response to Iran’s claims.
