Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, stated in an interview with Al Jazeera that no negotiations are currently underway between Iran and the United States, and reaffirmed that Tehran does not accept a ceasefire.
He explained that negotiations involve structured discussions between two countries aimed at reaching a mutual agreement, stressing that no such process currently exists between Iran and the United States.
Araghchi said Iran continues to receive messages from the United States, delivered both directly and through regional intermediaries.
He stressed that the exchange of messages, whether in the form of warnings from Iran or positions conveyed by the other side, does not amount to negotiations, even though this communication continues.
Araghchi confirmed that no negotiations have occurred so far, and any reports claiming otherwise are incorrect.
