The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has reported that the Deputy Minister for Policy, Sheikh Abdul Rahman Qanit, met with the Head of Iran’s Iron Ore Association, Mehrdad Akbaryan, and the representative of the Iranian Embassy in Kabul, Hossein Roustayi.
According to the ministry’s statement, the meeting focused on expanding economic cooperation, particularly in the areas of mineral exploration, extraction, and investment in Afghanistan’s natural resources. Strengthening bilateral relations was also emphasized.
The statement added that the Iranian delegation expressed the private sector’s interest in investing in Afghanistan’s mineral resources.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Minister of Mines and Petroleum assured the Iranian delegation of full cooperation in accordance with the country’s existing laws.
