Reuters has reported that Iran has expressed willingness to engage in indirect negotiations with the United States, while ruling out direct talks. At the same time, Tehran has issued a warning to regional countries, stating that any cooperation with U.S. attacks would lead to unfavorable consequences.
The report, citing a senior Iranian official, states that Iran opposes direct dialogue with Washington over its nuclear program and prefers to pursue indirect communication through Oman.
The official further noted that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has ordered the country’s armed forces to maintain full readiness. Meanwhile, Iranian authorities have formally warned Iraq, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Turkey, and Bahrain that assisting any U.S. military action will result in serious repercussions.
