Tasnim News Agency citing Iraqi sources, reported Thursday morning, that an advanced U.S. MQ-9 drone was downed over Iraq’s Salah al-Din province.
Iraqi sources reported that the Islamic Resistance took responsibility for the operation, saying the drone was intentionally shot down to safeguard the country’s sovereignty and airspace.
It’s worth noting that this U.S. MQ-9 drone is valued at nearly $30 million.
