Russia’s RT Arabic media has reported that Israeli businesses are at risk of severe decline, and traders have warned that if the government does not take immediate action, the country’s economy could become completely paralyzed.
Business owners say that since the start of the war with Iran, hotel and shop reservations have dropped to zero, while ordinary people are living in shelters due to uncertainty about the future.
Israeli traders have also expressed concern over the country’s weak role in regional competition for energy transit, particularly compared to Egypt and Turkey.
They added that these countries are gaining a strategic position in the global market by developing alternative routes to the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea (such as oil and gas pipelines through Syria), while Israel is moving very slowly in this area.
The traders emphasized that the government must take swift and effective steps to preserve its geopolitical position between the Gulf and the Mediterranean.
