Indian media reported that a Lashkar-e-Taiba militant, who was organizing anti-India activities in Bangladesh under the direction of Pakistan’s intelligence agency (ISI), was arrested today (Monday) near New Delhi.
According to the report, the arrested individual is named Shabir Ahmad Lone, also known as Raja and Kashmiri, originally a resident of Kangan in the Srinagar district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Indian officials stated that security agencies are currently interrogating him to identify the extent of his network, recruitment methods, sources of funding, and potential targets within India.
This comes as the U.S. Congress recently stated that terrorist groups have safe havens in Pakistan and, with the support of the country’s intelligence services, plan attacks against neighboring countries.
