The leadership of the Interim Government has issued a congratulatory message for Eid al-Fitr, extending warm wishes to all believers, particularly Afghans. This message addresses not only religious and social issues but also significant political matters, both domestic and international.
In the message, the leadership acknowledges and praises that the security and prosperity seen across Afghanistan since the rise of the Interim Government are the result of the sacrifices, martyrdoms, hardships, and efforts of the courageous Muslim nation.
Muslims worldwide continue to suffer under oppressive regimes, especially in Gaza, where civilians face relentless attacks by the Zionist regime. In the message, the leadership expressed solidarity with Muslims across the globe, offering condolences for the dire situation in Palestine.
From Balkh to Kandahar and from Nimroz to Badakhshan, soldiers from Afghanistan’s three security bodies continue to work tirelessly to ensure security throughout the country. Thanks to their efforts, citizens can celebrate Eids and special occasions in safety. As such, the leadership of the interim government extended support to the entire security bodies in the message and called on the public to show solidarity.
The message also addressed Afghanistan’s foreign and diplomatic relations, emphasizing that these remain firmly grounded in Islamic principles. The Interim Government remains committed to maintaining relations based on Sharia law. These diplomatic efforts, which began after the Doha Agreement with the United States, have led to a new phase in Afghanistan’s international relations, with the government now engaged with numerous countries at a high level.
Additionally, the message stressed the importance of a legal system where laws are applied equally to all, laying the foundation for justice. It underscored the need to adhere to, enforce, and hold individuals accountable for the laws and regulations in place.
Efforts related to the country’s development, reconstruction, and poverty alleviation were also highlighted. Since the rise of the Interim Government, reconstruction efforts have progressed rapidly, with the country taking significant steps toward self-sufficiency.
Preventing social ills and promoting good deeds are seen as crucial components of social reform and vital to the Islamic system. The Ministry of Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice in Afghanistan has taken a strong stance in this regard, making notable struggles in community reform. The leadership of the government reaffirmed the religious duty of promoting virtue and preventing vice and called for cooperation with the ministry’s moral officers.
Afghanistan, having endured decades of war and occupation, has left many citizens impoverished and unemployed. The number of widows, orphans, and disabled individuals has reached hundreds of thousands. The message called on wealthy citizens to provide charity and assistance to those in need.
