Bahour Shamtoob, leader of Syria’s Jewish community, has called for the Zionist regime of Israel to withdraw from territories in southern Syria that it occupied following the fall of the Assad regime.
Shamtoob criticized Israel’s efforts to invade and occupy countries, stating that Israel disregards international opinion due to support from the United States and Europe.
When asked if Israel represents their interests, he responded emphatically, “No, never! They are Israelis, and we are Syrians.”
Following the Assad regime’s collapse and the rise of the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham movement, Israel launched operations in southern Syria, violating international law, and occupied several regions.
