Mawlawi Zabiullah Mujahid, the central spokesperson for the interim government, announced that the leadership has issued a decree mandating the dissemination of essential information and details related to urban planning.
The decree stipulates that, to enhance the development of urban residential, commercial, and industrial areas, improve service delivery, and ensure transparency, the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing, Kabul Municipality, and relevant provincial municipalities are obligated to inform the public about urban plans through media outlets, religious leaders, and other appropriate channels.
Furthermore, the decree requires these organizations to formulate and publish plans for areas that currently lack detailed planning.
The Administrative Affairs Directorate and the Directorate for Monitoring and Implementation of Decrees are tasked with the continuous oversight of the decree’s execution.
It has been stated that the decree is considered effective from the date of its endorsement and will be published in the official gazette.
