Local sources in Balochistan told Voice of Hindukush that Imdadullah Shah, a member of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam party, was shot and killed by armed attackers in the Qalat district.

Sources confirmed that Imdadullah Shah was the son of Sabghatullah Shah, a prominent religious scholar and senior leader of the party. Imdadullah held an active position in the party at the time of his killing.

It is important to note that in recent weeks, targeted killings of religious scholars and influential figures have intensified across different regions of Pakistan. Sources allege that these assassinations are being carried out by unidentified gunmen believed to be linked to Pakistan’s intelligence agencies.
