Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, met with a delegation from Pakistan’s Jamaat-e-Islami party led by Muhammad Ibrahim.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Muttaqi described the exchange of delegations between the two countries as valuable and stated that positive relations are in the interest of both nations.
Meanwhile, the Jamaat-e-Islami delegation emphasized the importance of closer ties between the people of Afghanistan and Pakistan and praised Afghanistan’s progress since the return of the Islamic Emirate to power.
The delegation also called the improvement of bilateral relations beneficial for the lives of people living on both sides of the Durand Hypothetical Line and expressed hope for resolving existing issues.
