Hafiz Zia Ahmad Takal, Director of Public Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that the Ministry’s acting head, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, met with Mohammad Reza Bahrami, who currently serves as both the Iranian Ambassador in Kabul and Advisor to the Iranian Foreign Minister.
According to Takal, the meeting focused on the new phase of bilateral relations, recent developments, and key issues concerning refugees and water management.
The acting Foreign Minister described Afghanistan’s relationship with Iran as expanding and stressed that both countries should make full use of the available opportunities.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Reza Bahrami referred to the Iranian Foreign Minister’s recent visit to Kabul as the beginning of a new chapter in bilateral relations and emphasized that both countries can effectively manage their bilateral relations.
