    Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi Meets Omani Minister of Commerce and Industry; Key Economic Issues Discussed

    During his visit to Oman, Afghanistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, met with the Omani Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef. The meeting focused on enhancing trade, investment, and transit cooperation between the two countries.

    According to a statement from the Afghan Foreign Ministry, both sides agreed to facilitate exchanges between trade delegations and the private sectors of Afghanistan and Oman.

    The discussion also covered the expansion of exports and imports, agricultural cooperation, food security, as well as trade and transportation. It was agreed that joint working teams and sectoral institutions would begin technical discussions on these areas.

    Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi traveled to Oman at the official invitation of his Omani counterpart.
