Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, Acting Minister of Refugees and Repatriation, met with Robert Dickson, the British Chargé d’Affaires, to discuss Afghan refugees, humanitarian aid, and international cooperation.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation, Dickson referred to a proposal presented by the United Nations and pledged that the United Kingdom would increase its assistance to Afghanistan.
Mawlawi Abdul Kabir expressed appreciation for the UK’s support and announced the planned construction of 46 residential settlements for Afghan refugees.
He reaffirmed the interim government’s commitment to the effective management of refugees and the protection of their rights.
