    Minister of Water and Energy Urges Swift Progress on Laghman Shahi Canal Project

    Mullah Mohammad Younus Akhundzada, Minister of Water and Energy, visited the ongoing Laghman Shahi Canal project, stressing the need for faster progress and high-quality execution.

    The Ministry of Water and Energy stated that the minister also issued essential instructions to the officials of the contracting company.

    The Laghman Shahi Canal extends 72 kilometers and can irrigate nearly 20,000 hectares of agricultural land.

    The ministry reported that construction on the first lot of the project’s initial phase is underway, with 22 percent of the work completed so far.
