The Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue, the Prevention of Vice, and the Hearing of Complaints has announced that its moral enforcers in Logar Province’s Khoshi district have prevented a girl from being given away as compensation (Badal) in a local dispute.

According to the ministry, the girl was to be handed over to the victim’s family as part of resolving a murder case.

The ministry’s moral enforcers warned both parties that if such immoral practices are repeated in the future, the Islamic Emirate will take strict legal and Sharia-based action.

It is worth noting that a committee has been established to resolve the conflict in accordance with Islamic Sharia.
