Abdul Rahman Habib, spokesperson for the Ministry of Economy, stated that in the past solar year 1403, the ministry granted operating licenses to 134 institutions, including five foreign and 129 domestic entities.
According to Habib, these institutions are engaged in sectors such as social protection, healthcare, education, agriculture, livestock, and, in particular, disaster preparedness.
The Ministry of Economy’s data indicates that there are currently around 2,608 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) operating in Afghanistan, including 280 foreign organizations.
