The entire land of the “Sayed Ishaq Gilani Township” in Surkhrod district of Nangarhar, measuring 5,640 jeribs, has been officially declared as state-owned property by a special court assigned to address cases of usurped government lands.

According to the Ministry of Justice, this decision was made after the court reviewed documents, evidence, and information from relevant institutions, which did not prove that the land had been legally obtained from the government.

The court also ruled that the current occupants of the land, who are mostly buyers that purchased it from individuals, can seek compensation and reclaim the purchase price from the sellers.
