The Ministry of Promotion of Virtue, Prevention of Vice, and Complaints Hearing announced that it addressed 120 cases related to women’s rights and concerns during the fourth month of current solar hijri year.
According to the ministry, the cases included 16 related to inheritance, 14 involving dowry (mahr), 48 cases of violence against women, 35 instances of forced marriage, and 7 cases where girls were given in baad.
The ministry further stated that its morale officers also detained 25 sorcerers, resolved 88 disputes of varying scale, and held 670 reform sessions across the country.
